 Generalist licence

(Persons holding a ringing permit from another EURING member ringing scheme have the possibility to obtain the French equivalent for the « generalist » version).

• To do so, they must hold a valid and up-to-date authorization from their scheme (i.e. for the current year up to 2 previous years).
• They must make a request to the CRBPO (crbpo@mnhn.fr), indicating the reasons for his request (prolonged installation in our country / participation in a banding camp / ...).
• You will have to send us by email the copy of the permit granted by the ringing scheme (pdf or jpg format). A request may be made to the ringing scheme to verify the validity of the document and ask them for their opinion on this request.
• It will be necessary to fill in this identity form specifying « Equivalent pour bagueur d’un centre étranger » in « Motif de cet envoi » including a passport photo in jpg format.
• It will be necessary to participate in the theoretical training course.
• It will be necessary at least to participate in a field session in order to check the skills according to the French standard. This session could take place on our site in Brunoy.
• It will be necessary to pass the data input test.
• It will be necessary to pass the anticipated identification tests of the practical training qualification course.
• People wishing to settle permanently in France will also have to pass knowledge tests of the administrative procedures of banding in France, as well as the functioning of the PNRO.

These two identification tests take place in distance, integrated into the theoretical internship. See the dates in the chapter «anticipated tests».
